The Villages Golf Academy
Private Instruction
We offer private instruction for our students who desire a more one on one personal approach to improving their game. Since each golfer has different skills, physical abilities and golf related goals, we believe it is imperative to treat each of our students as an individual. Our staff of PGA and LPGA instructors has over 75 years of teaching experience along with the patience and desire to help each of their students achieve their dreams of better golf!
Our PGA and LPGA teachers offer private instruction that can be tailored to include full-swing, putting, chipping, bunkers and more.
Private Lesson - 30 Minutes ($50) / 60 Minutes ($90)
- Private instruction with an Academy Instructor
- May include the use of video as a training/learning tool depending on location and availability
Video Lesson - $80
- 50 Minutes of private instruction with an Academy Instructor
- Includes video analysis of your swing, including use throughout the lesson as a visual learning tool
- Includes the uploading of your lesson to your personal V1 online locker, available for your viewing at anytime. Includes your swing before and after your lesson, complete with instructor dialog and attached drills to assist you in achieving your long term goals.
Swing Model Lesson - $120 (plus $50 annual membership to Swing Model on first lesson)
- 60 Minutes of private instruction with Joey Hidock, certified Swing Model Instructor, utilizing Swing Model technology
- Swing Model’s advanced software technology creates the “perfect model” for YOUR swing based on your physical characteristics, and analyzes your swing compared to YOUR model
- Includes uploading of your lesson and model, complete with instructor dialog to your personal locker on the Swing Model website available for your viewing at anytime

Couples Lesson - $100
- 60 Minutes of private instruction with an Academy Instructor
- May include the use of video as a training/learning tool depending on location and availability
Playing Lesson - $175
- 2 hours of on-course private instruction with an Academy Instructor
- Focus is on course strategy and situational shots
Private Groups - $40 per person (3-5 people)
- 60 Minutes of private instruction for your group
Par package - $195
- Begins with a 50 minute Video lesson and discussion of the students goals. Includes the uploading of your lesson to your personal V1 online locker, available for your viewing at anytime. Includes your swing before and after your lesson, complete with instructor dialog and attached drills to assist you in achieving your long term goals
- Followed by three 30 minute private lesson/checkpoints to work towards students goals
- Focus is on full swing fundamentals
- Lessons must be completed within 6 months
Birdie package - $270
- Begins with a 50 minute Video lesson and discussion of the students goals. Includes the uploading of your lesson to your personal V1 online locker, available for your viewing at anytime. Includes your swing before and after your lesson, complete with instructor dialog and attached drills to assist you in achieving your long term goals
- Followed by three 30 minute private lesson/checkpoints to work toward students goals
- Concludes with another 50 minute Video lesson comparing your swing from the initial lesson to your current swing and documenting your progress. This final lesson is uploaded and added to your V1 video locker for viewing at anytime
- Focus is on full swing fundamentals
- Lessons must be completed within 6 months
Eagle package - $390
- Birdie Package + Three 30 minute short game lessons
- Putting
- Chipping/Pitching
- Bunker
- Lessons must be completed within 6 months
