Ed Fletcher

The winner of the Cane Garden/Mallory Hill Men's Club Championship is Ed Fletcher with a score of 72 + 71 = 143.

Born and raised in Marshfield, Massachusetts. Played Football, Baseball and Basketball in High School. Grew up on the golf course and caddied most summers until, in high school worked as a greenskeeper which allowed me to play golf. Graduated Newbury College, in Boston, with a degree in Business Management. Grew up in a large family, as I have four brothers and five sisters.

Joined the US AirForce in January, 1964, and spent time at Lackland AFB, TX; Keesler AFB, MS; Shaw AFB, SC; Saigon, Viet Nam; Udorn, Thailand; and Dover AFB, DE.

Married high school sweetheart, Linda in May 1964 and have three children, Edward, David and Kathleen. They're all married and we have seven granddaughters, with an eighth grandchild on the way in October.

Retired after thirty-two years, working for the United States Postal Service. The last nineteen years as the Postmaster in North Falmouth, Massachusetts.

We heard about The Villages about ten years ago and purchased our home in the village of Poinciana, in November 2004 and closed in February 2005. We have been full time residents since August 2005. We love the lifestyle and everything that goes on here. We play a lot of Pickle-ball, swimming, eating out, dancing, and a little golf. Linda is a Registered Nurse and works at Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
