Fount Johnston

Is a seasonal resident from Newport News Virginia and has been in the Villages for 3 years. Fount has 6 children, 7 grandchildren and this is his third Men’s Club Championship. His first two titles were at James River Country Club in Newport News and Cavalier Country Club in Virginia Beach.

Fount can also add to his golf resume 4 hole in ones and the fact that he has shot his age every year since turning 66. After the completion of the final round Bob Coleman and Fount were tied at 154 for the championship. In a sudden death playoff starting on Cherry Hill hole #1, Fount birdie the hole to clinch the title.
