Steve Hanson PGA Professional

Hometown: Iowa

Steve Hanson Regional Head Golf Professional Steve has been the Head Golf Professional at Lopez Legacy since 2009 and in the summer of 2024, he was given the responsibilities of Glenview Champions. Originally from Iowa, Steve earned a BS degree in business through the Professional Golf Management program at New Mexico State University. Later Steve earned his MBA from King College. Steve, and his wife Brenda, have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

Brad Andrews Golf Professional

Hometown: Summerfield, FL

A true Central Florida native, I was born and raised in nearby Summerfield, FL. Upon graduating from The Villages Charter School in 2009, I traveled to the mountains of Eastern Kentucky where I attended The University of Pikeville, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and was a 4 year starter in centerfield as a member of their baseball team. My journey with golf began in high school when I joined the Varsity Golf team and later strengthened when I joined The Villages Golf & Tennis staff in 2018. I am currently in pursuit of my PGA Professional Certification and hope to achieve membership into this prestigious organization soon! When not on the golf course, I enjoy spending time with my wife Emily and watching our young sons Brody and Brooks grow, as well as spending time out in the great outdoors

Sue Monk Golf Staff Lead

Hometown: Reno, Nevada

I moved to The Villages in 2004 from Reno, Nevada when I retired from Washoe County as a Programmer/Analyst. I enjoy golf, kayaking, biking, and our rescued Boston Terrier. I love working for Golf and have been so since 2005!

Jackie Strecker Golf Staff Lead

Hometown: Kansas City, Mo

After 23 years in the airline industry, Jackie and her husband Larry (also a Country Club employee) retired in 2000 and moved to Florida from Kansas City, MO. In 2004 The Villages were in their sights and they never looked back. Jackie started working as an ambassador at Chula Vista and Mira Mesa in 2006, she transferred to Havana Country Club soon after its opening working as a starter, mentor to new employees, and eventually training as an Outside Manager. After ten years at Havana the opportunity arose to work at Glenview Championship course as an Outside Manager, and so the story continues! Jackie and her husband love the Villages Lifestyle and look forward to many more years as Country Club Employees.

Ron Terry Golf Staff Lead

Hometown: Hershey, Pa

Ron was raised in Hershey, Pa. After ending his schooling in the northeast in winter term, Ron moved to Boca Raton, Fla. in 1979. He worked at Boca Raton Community Hospital in the lab for a few years, then moved to Titleist, as a courier. A few years later, he took a position with Mizuno, coordinating tasks between sales, marketing, and advertising. Retiring for the first time in 1999, in 2003 he started working part time at a private country club in Boca Raton. After moving to The Villages in 2008, Ron met the love of his life, Lori, and they live happily in Rio Ranchero. Ron started working at Glenview in Dec. of 2014. Ron says "I've done every outside position at Glenview, and have enjoyed every one of them. It's the complete Country Club experience here."

Ron Horte Golf Staff Lead

Hometown: Lancaster, OH

Ron moved to The Villages in 2015 from Virginia Beach. Originally from Massachusetts, he has 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. Ron retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service flying helicopters and as an aircraft mechanic. Before moving to The Villages Ron Attended the Golf Academy of America in Orlando. Ron joined the Lopez team in 2020.
