Steve Hanson PGA Professional

Hometown: Iowa

Steve Hanson Regional Head Golf Professional Steve has been the Head Golf Professional at Lopez Legacy since 2009 and in the summer of 2024, he was given the responsibilities of Glenview Champions. Originally from Iowa, Steve earned a BS degree in business through the Professional Golf Management program at New Mexico State University. Later Steve earned his MBA from King College. Steve, and his wife Brenda, have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.

Sue Monk Golf Staff Lead

Hometown: Reno, Nevada

I moved to The Villages in 2004 from Reno, Nevada when I retired from Washoe County as a Programmer/Analyst. I enjoy golf, kayaking, biking, and our rescued Boston Terrier. I love working for Golf and have been so since 2005!

Jackie Strecker Golf Staff Lead

Hometown: Kansas City, Mo

After 23 years in the airline industry, Jackie and her husband Larry (also a Country Club employee) retired in 2000 and moved to Florida from Kansas City, MO. In 2004 The Villages were in their sights and they never looked back. Jackie started working as an ambassador at Chula Vista and Mira Mesa in 2006, she transferred to Havana Country Club soon after its opening working as a starter, mentor to new employees, and eventually training as an Outside Manager. After ten years at Havana the opportunity arose to work at Glenview Championship course as an Outside Manager, and so the story continues! Jackie and her husband love the Villages Lifestyle and look forward to many more years as Country Club Employees.

Liz CoxGolf Staff Lead

Hometown: Emerald Isle, NC

Liz is a retired High School Science Teacher, Coach, and Athletic Director from NC. Liz moved to The Villages in Oct 2022 and started working for The Villages Golf in Nov 2022. She worked at Hacienda as part of their Outside Staff for 3 years before joining the Glenview in Jan 2026. Liz enjoys playing golf as much as she can. She plays in The Ladies Village Cup and other tournaments throughout the year. Liz enjoys cycling, taking walks with her dog and visiting beaches along the Eastern US coastlines.

Ron Horte Golf Staff Lead

Hometown: Lancaster, OH

Ron moved to The Villages in 2015 from Virginia Beach. Originally from Massachusetts, he has 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. Ron retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of service flying helicopters and as an aircraft mechanic. Before moving to The Villages Ron Attended the Golf Academy of America in Orlando. Ron joined the Lopez team in 2020.

Bill Moen Golf Staff Lead

Hometown: Duluth, MN

I moved to The Villages in 2023 from Ice Country, Duluth, Minnesota. I was introduced to the quality people of Glenview by my significant other, Jackie Egerdahl. Jackie was the catalyst, both to my relocation and to my employment at Glenview. The caliber of the Glenview staff, along with their support and mentoring, has been responsible for my reaching the position of Staff Lead. I am very thankful to all who have contributed to my Glenview experience.
