Meandering along the southern shores of Lake Miona in The Villages, Heron is a stunning mix of great golf and natural beauty that will not disappoint the avid golfer or the nature lover. Besides your clubs, bring a camera or some compact binoculars because in addition to the birdies you make on the course you are very likely to encounter hawks. squirrels, Bald Eagles and even an alligator or two. The Heron course features just one par 4 and is the site of a challenging and unique "horseshoe green". Heron permits the novice to tee it up close and play a 851 yard track, while more experienced golfers may prefer the longer 1468 yard game from the back tees.
